Founder and Managing Director
Bo Brustkern serves as Managing Director of Arcstone Partners. He is also the firm's Founder. Prior to founding Arcstone Partners, Mr. Brustkern was an investment professional in the Silicon Valley office of Rustic Canyon Partners, a technology-focused private equity firm, and BACE Industries, a middle market private equity firm.
Previously, Mr. Brustkern was a senior analyst at Wellsford Residential Property Trust (NYSE: WRP), where he focused on acquisitions and development for the fifth largest residential REIT in the country. He has over 17 years of analytical, execution and management experience. Over the course of his career as an investment and valuation professional, Mr. Brustkern has completed a wide variety of engagements for a diverse array of clients, including analyses involving financial reporting, transaction advisory, corporate finance, tax, litigation support and strategic planning. Mr. Brustkern is a Charter Member of the Fair Value Forum.
Mr. Brustkern earned his MBA with distinction from the Anderson School at UCLA, where he graduated as a Deutschman Venture Fellow, and his BA in English and Writing from Dartmouth College. He has been quoted in a variety of publications including the New York Times and Financial Times. Mr. Brustkern published the white paper Private Company Liquidity: Fueling American Entrepreneurship in December 2011.
Jonathan Hartley, CFA ▼
Jonathan Hartley, CFA serves as Arcstone's chief technical specialist. In the course of his career as a valuation analyst, Mr. Hartley has completed hundreds of valuation engagements for tax, financial reporting, and litigation purposes.
Prior to Arcstone, Mr. Hartley was a member in the Washington, DC office of Navigant Consulting, Inc., a specialty consulting firm. While at Navigant, Mr. Hartley performed business valuations, economic damages assessments and financial analyses in the context of complex economic disputes involved in U.S. litigation and international arbitration.
Mr. Hartley graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Business and Finance from Virginia Tech. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.
Scott Carlson, CVA ▼
Scott Carlson serves as a Director of Valuation at Arcstone. In the course of his career as a valuation analyst Mr. Carlson has completed hundreds of valuation engagements for financial reporting, tax, investment research and corporate finance purposes.
Prior to Arcstone, Mr. Carlson was an associate to an equity analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners and an investment analyst at Kirsh Development, Inc. Prior to receiving his MBA, Mr. Carlson gained front line experience in the renowned management training program of Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Mr. Carlson received his BS and MBA degrees in Accounting and Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst and a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.
Kristin Hindes ▼
Kristin Hindes serves as Arcstone's Director of Operations, managing the systems and procedures required to accomplish Arcstone’s mission. Ms. Hindes utilizes her extensive experience in organization development, human resources and accounting management, and information technology management to keep Arcstone running at high efficiency.
From 2000 to 2009, Ms. Hindes was a key member of the operations team at Centennial Ventures, one of Colorado's longest-standing venture capital firms.
Ms. Hindes earned her BA from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
